A project included in “CAMERA PLUS. Biennial of contemporary photography and moving image”

The CAMERA PLUS Biennial is organizing two sessions of Portfolio Reviews in May 19-20, 2016, intended to target the young visual artists which are using the photography medium for their projects. A number of 16 participants, whose portfolios will be previously selected by the biennial organizers, will have the a opportunity to present their photography project to a group of five international experts:  Pascal Beausse (the director of the Photography Collection within Centre national des arts plastiques, Paris), Matei Bejenaru (vizual artist, photography professor at the University of Arts „George Enescu” Iași, Romania), Louise Clements (director of Format festival, UK), Markus Hartmann (book editor and photographic gallery owner, Germany) and Iosif Kiraly (artist photographer, professor at the National University of Arts, Bucharest, Romania).

In a first step, portfolios can be sent by email in pdf format, with files up to 20Mb, no later than 30 April 2016 at contact@c-f-c.ro. Each portfolio will include a number of 20-30 images, a short CV of the participant, contact information (email, phone) and an artistic statement of about 1000-1500 letters. In the second stage, selected portfolios will be presented in printed version in the Portfolio Reviews of sessions on 19-20 May 2016. Each participant will be able to show evaluators images printed on photographic paper, at the minimum size of 20x30cm.

The results of the selection of the 16 portfolios and more details will be announced on May 5, 2016 on the website of Centre for Contemporary Photography, at www.c-f-c.ro. Selected artists will attend for free the Preview Plus workshops and will be included in the information materials of the CAMERA PLUS Biennial.
