The CAMERA PLUS Biennial organized a session of Portfolio Reviews on May 19, 2016, for young visual artists who are using the photography medium for their projects. The portfolio reviewers were: Matei Bejenaru (visual artist, Professor of Photography at the University of Arts „George Enescu”, Iaşi, Romania), Louise Clements (Director of FORMAT International Photography Festival, Great Britain), Markus Hartmann (Photography Book Editor and Gallerist, Germany), Iosif Kiraly (Photographer-Artist, Professor at the National University of Arts, Bucharest, Romania).
As per the selection process, the organizers selected the following artists: Teodor Bădărău, Anna Bărbulescu, Lucian Brăteanu, Vlaicu Bunduchi, Daniel Comendant, Alexandra Corneanu, Tudor Ciurescu, Renata Dradici, Dragoş Hanciu, Laura Mecheş, Andrei Nacu, Mihai Nistor, Luiza-Paula Preda, Ana Maria Preduţ, Rareş Rădulescu, Silviu Vacariu.
Discussions with evaluators were held Thursday, May 19, 2016, between 10-14 at the University of Arts “George Enescu” Iaşi, at Photo-Video studio. Each participant had separate 15 minute discussions with three of evaluators and was able to show them his images printed on photographic paper, the minimum size of 20x30cm.
