The CAMERA PLUS Biennial is organizing a session of Portfolio Reviews on May 19, 2016, for young visual artists who are using the photography medium for their projects. As per the selection process started on April 6, 2016, the organizers selected the following artists: Teodor Bădărău, Anna Bărbulescu, Lucian Brăteanu, Vlaicu Bunduchi, Daniel Comendant, Alexandra Corneanu, Tudor Ciurescu, Renata Dradici, Dragoş Hanciu, Laura Mecheş, Andrei Nacu, Mihai Nistor, Luiza-Paula Preda, Ana Maria Preduţ, Rareş Rădulescu, Silviu Vacariu.
The portfolio reviewers are: Matei Bejenaru (visual artist, Professor of Photography at the University of Arts „George Enescu”, Iaşi, Romania), Louise Clements (Director of FORMAT International Photography Festival, Great Britain), Markus Hartmann (Photography Book Editor and Gallerist, Germany), Iosif Kiraly (Photographer-Artist, Professor at the National University of Arts, Bucharest, Romania).
Discussions with evaluators will be held Thursday, May 19, 2016, between 10-14 in Iasi, University of Arts “George Enescu” Iaşi, at Photo-Video studio. Each participant will have three separate 15 minute discussion with three of evaluators. Each participant will be able to show evaluators his images printed on photographic paper, the minimum size of 20x30cm.
